Sarah Ainslie has been a passionate supporter of small business and enterprise matters for over 20 years. As Business Development Manager at Amacus Ltd, she is responsible for managing an extensive training portfolio of Leadership and Management, Employability and Enterprise support. The ethos of 'developing great people to achieve great results' is central to her role in supporting individuals and businesses with creative and bespoke solutions for continuous learning and development. She holds a Master of Arts in Regional Development and as a former North East Policy Manager, her professional career has included developing and managing lobbying campaigns across a wide range of policy issues; building key partnerships with political decision makers, business and community stakeholders to successfully represent the interests of SMEs at regional and national levels. She previously founded a public affairs consultancy company, setting a new agenda within the industry as a social enterprise to help organisations better understand the impacts of complex political and policy environments. As an active member of the local business community, Sarah co-founded the women’s business network WomenWhatDo.biz, is Vice Chairman of the FSB Branch in Hartlepool, sits on the Hartlepool Economic and Regeneration Forum and is Trustee of local charity Epilepsy Outlook.
