Julie Gingell has a career spanning 20 years in strategic marketing, commercial management and business growth. Julie has worked in a wide variety of sectors including, hospitality, sport, retail and professionals services. She has delivered her marketing and business development expertise to a wide range of national and international organisations, helping them to build brands, tell their stories and win clients. Julie describes herself as a lifelong learner is a big believer in ‘never stopping learning”, and learners a huge amount from all the businesses and people she meets.
Julie was instrumental in strategically positioning and building the SA Law brand which launched in 2005 and is now widely considered to be the most recognisable and memorable of any law firm across the Northern Home Counties. Julie was one of the first marketing people in the UK to be to be appointed as a partner under the new legal sector ABS rules.
As an active member of the local business community Julie is involved with a number of community project including: St Albans City of Expertise, Food Festival and St Albans Half Marathon. She was also former chair of the Watford Chamber of Commerce and is a Non-Executive Director at Wenta.
Outside work Julie enjoys listening to jazz, collecting (and tasting) small batch gins, supporting Watford Football Club, watching films and reading.
