David Clarke is aged 45 and hales from Wigan in North West England. A family man, David lives with his wife and two young children at their home in Harpenden. Based on a sound academic footing, David has developed a highly successful career in the banking sector spanning 21 years and he is currently Head of the Clydesdale Bank Customer Banking Centre in St Albans with responsibility for maintaining and growing the business across the Northern Home Counties. David is also President of the St Albans and District Chamber of Commerce and possesses a passion to offer local businesses practical help to grow and prosper. In addition to his banking career, David enjoyed a 17-year International Football career which saw him represent Great Britain and England’s blind football team 144 times scoring a total of 128 goals. David was inducted in to the National Football Museum Hall of Fame in 2013 and was awarded an - Honorary Doctorate by the University of Hertfordshire in the same year. David continues to chair the British Paralympic Association’s Athlete Commission and coaches in youth football with Harpenden Colts. David possesses an inner spirit and determination through which he seeks to inspire those around him to make the most of every opportunity.
