Neil Davies, CEO of Close Brothers Asset Finance and Leasing, joined the business in 2007 after spending 30 years as a broker. In his first role in the business he was responsible for establishing the Leasing division, which was the Bank’s first determined attempt to make an impact in the middle ticket leasing sector. Today, Leasing has a loan book of over £700m and contributed the largest element of quadrupling the total Asset Finance and Leasing’s loan book in only 10 years.
In early 2017, Neil was promoted to his current position; at that time Close Brothers Asset Finance and Leasing had a total loan book of just over £2bn - in the intervening years he has overseen continued steady growth despite the intensification of competition. He now oversees a business that employs over 500 people operating in 16 businesses areas across 12 locations, while also helping achieve levels of employee engagement that are among the highest in the financial services sector.
